Conducting Samples

Conducting is great because it's the fastest way to get many musicians to a high level with as little rehearsal as possible. One teacher of conducting explained to me that "a great conductor is someone who knows what she wants and knows how to get it."

In the first of these videos, I am conducting a cue from Zuzana Gedeon's "Beating Batten" documentary. The recording took place on July 10th, 2013 at Studio X, Seattle Washington. Tim Huling and Hummie Mann, Booth Operators. Reed Ruddy, Recording Engineer.
